Justin Adian – NYC – 9.19.10
When I was in New York last week I went to the opening of an exhibition of a really interesting artist at the Blackston Gallery on the Lower East Side. The artist is a guy named Justin Adian. He makes beautiful paintings on canvas that has been tightly stretched around foam. They sort of remind me of the work of Claes Oldenburg. Here are some photos from Justin’s studio in Chinatown, when my partner Michael and I went over the next day to have a look.
