The Seine – Paris – 10.31.11

I have been away a few times in the last month, and one of the places I went was Paris, a city I’ve been to many times, and one I am always delighted to return to. I went with a friend, another person who doesn’t like being home too much. We were only there for two days, just enough time to have a couple good dinners and lunches, a little shopping, a lot of walking and wine drinking. The autumn light was golden and the weather perfect – a day of sun and a day of rain. Paris is beautiful in the rain. We stayed in Pigalle at a small hotel called the Paris Hotel, on the rue Henry Monnier. I always stay in this part of the city, because my french friends all live in the area, except for two who live near Republique.
